Weather protection innovation. The 1461 shoe evolved into the 14XX Sub Shoe. An exxperimental construction fusing a waterproof base/outsole unit with a water-resistant Tailgate leather upper. Augmented with removable, adjustable gaiters built from lightweight Extra Tough 50/50 and Re-RipStop. The 3-eye boot and gaiter are both lined with WarmWair and DryWair fleece for additional cold and water protection. Set on a SoftWair insole for padded ergonomic comfort. Dr. Martens DNA is on display with an AirWair heel loop.

14XX. A continuum of exxperimentation. Testing the boundaries of Dr. Martens traditional design language. Heritage silhouettes viewed through the lens of an unknown future.

Material

Tailgate WP is a full grain waxy oily leather with natural grain character. Ripstop is fabric. ETR 50/50 is an extra tough, recycled synthetic fabric with great strength and elasticity: gives an urban edge to our footwear styles.
